The short version
- There is no analytics on this site. No Google Analytics, no tracking pixels, no third-party scripts.
- No cookies are set, and nothing is written to your browser's storage.
- You do not need an account. There is nothing to sign up for.
- What you type into the eligibility checker is used to filter the scheme list and is then discarded. It is never written to a database.
- Fonts are served from this site, not from Google, so loading a page does not tell anyone else that you visited.
The eligibility checker
The scheme eligibility checker asks for age, gender, state, income, category, minority status and occupation. Some of that is sensitive, so it is worth being precise about what happens to it.
Your answers are sent to this site's own server, used in a single database query to select which schemes match, and returned as results. They are not written to any table, not attached to any identifier, and not shared with anyone. When the request finishes they are gone. Nothing about the checker is retained between visits, which is also why it starts empty each time.
The checker never asks for your name, Aadhaar number, bank details or any document, and it never will. No feature of this site needs them.
Server logs
Like any web server, the machine serving this site records ordinary request logs — the page requested, the time, the IP address the request came from, and the browser's user-agent string. These exist so the site can be kept running and abuse can be identified. They are not used to build any profile of a visitor, are not combined with anything else, and are not shared.
Links to other sites
Scheme pages link out to official government portals, and the calendar can generate a Google Calendar link for a festival if you choose to click it. Those are separate sites with their own privacy practices, and following a link there is outside the scope of this policy. Nothing on this site sends your information to them on your behalf.
Email you send us
If you write to mailus.silly@gmail.com, that mail sits in an ordinary mailbox so the exchange can be followed up. It is not added to any mailing list and you will not be sent anything you did not ask for. If you would like a message deleted, say so and it will be.
Children
This site is a public reference with no account system and no personal data collection, so it is safe to read at any age. Scholarship schemes in the directory are frequently relevant to students; the eligibility checker still stores nothing when a student uses it.
Changes to this policy
If this site ever starts collecting something it does not collect today — analytics, for instance — this page will be updated before that happens and the date at the top will change. Questions about any of it can go to mailus.silly@gmail.com.
