Frequently asked questions
Is registration really free?
Yes. There is no fee to register, to stay listed or to be contacted, and we take no commission from your tuition. Fees are agreed between you and the student’s family.
Who can see my phone number?
Anyone who visits the teacher directory — that is how students reach you. Only list a number you are happy to be called on. Your email address and PIN code are never published.
How long until my listing appears?
Each registration is checked by hand before it is published, usually within a few days. You do not need to do anything after submitting the form.
How do I change or remove my listing?
Email mailus.silly@gmail.com with the mobile number you registered. We will update or delete your listing; a removed listing is erased, not just hidden.
Is this a government teacher job registration?
No. This has nothing to do with WBSSC, WBBPE, primary TET or any government recruitment. My West Bengal is an independent website, and this is a directory of private tutors.
Can government school teachers register?
Section 28 of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 bars school teachers from private tuition, and West Bengal has directed teachers in government and government-aided schools not to take it. If that applies to you, please do not list yourself for paid tuition.
Do you verify teachers’ qualifications?
We check that each listing is genuine, but we do not verify certificates. Parents should meet a tutor and ask about their background before arranging classes.
