About the Scheme

The Annapurna Yojana is a major social welfare scheme launched by the Government of West Bengal, administered by the Department of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare. The primary objective of the program is to offer monthly financial support to women across the state, fostering empowerment and helping them achieve socio-economic independence. Under this scheme, eligible women receive a monthly cash transfer of ₹3,000. All payments are processed via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) directly into the beneficiary's Aadhaar-seeded bank account. To ensure a seamless transition, existing beneficiaries of the Lakshmir Bhandar scheme are systematically migrated to the Annapurna Yojana, subject to satisfying the scheme's requirements. New online registration facilities have been made available on the official portal starting June 1, 2026. 🔗 Official Resources: • Official Guideline Notification: https://wcdsw.wb.gov.in/notice_pdf/view/TVRVdw==
