Bangla Shasya Bima
🏛️ Department of Agriculture (Crop Insurance) • West Bengal Govt
Crop insurance cover with the farmer premium paid by the State for most notified crops.
About the Scheme
Bangla Shasya Bima is the state crop insurance scheme, introduced after West Bengal moved away from the central crop insurance programme. For most notified crops the entire farmer premium is paid by the State Government, so the cultivator enrols without paying anything. Cover extends to prevented sowing, mid-season adversity and post-harvest losses for notified crops in notified areas, with claims settled through the district agriculture administration. 🔗 Official Resources: • Official Portal: https://banglashasyabima.net
