About the Scheme
The Gatidhara Scheme is an employment-generation program launched by the Transport Department of the Government of West Bengal. It aims to foster self-employment opportunities for registered unemployed youth in both urban and rural regions of the state by encouraging them to provide transport services. Under the initiative, the state government offers a subsidy equal to 30% of the ex-showroom price of the vehicle, capped at a maximum of ₹1,00,000, to help beneficiaries acquire commercial vehicles. The program targets families with a monthly income of ₹25,000 or less. 🚀 How to Apply
Step 1:Register in Employment Bank
Visit the official Employment Bank website (https://employmentbankwb.gov.in), select "New Enrolment Job Seeker", and complete the registration to obtain enrollment proof.
Step 2:Process Application with Dealer
Get your application and the list of required documents processed by an authorized commercial vehicle dealer of your choice.
Step 3:Select a Financier
Choose a bank or financial institution to secure the loan required for purchasing the commercial vehicle.
Step 4:Register Vehicle & Receive Permit
Within one month of receiving the offer letter for permit and subsidy under the scheme, register the commercial vehicle to claim the subsidy benefit.
