Annual Scholarship (K1) of ₹1,000/year (ages 13-18) and a One-Time Grant (K2) of ₹25,000 (after turning 18).
About the Scheme
Kanyashree Prakalpa is a landmark initiative by the Government of West Bengal to improve the life and status of girls, specifically from socio-economically disadvantaged families. Through Conditional Cash Transfers, it incentivizes girls to continue education and disincentivizes early marriage. The scheme seeks to empower adolescent girls psychologically and socially, facilitating financial inclusion by depositing benefits directly into bank accounts in the girls' names. 🔗 Official Resources: • Official Website: https://wbkanyashree.gov.in/kp_4.0/kp_objectives.php • Government FAQs: https://wbkanyashree.gov.in/kp_4.0/faq.php • Official Guidelines (PDF): https://wbkanyashree.gov.in/readwrite/notice_publications/01-Kanyashree%20Prakalpa%20Guidelines.pdf
