About the Scheme
Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana is the national financial inclusion mission. Any resident may open a basic savings account with no minimum balance requirement, and receives a RuPay debit card carrying built-in accidental insurance cover. š How to Apply
Step 1:Visit a Bank or Bank Mitra
Approach any bank branch or Bank Mitra business correspondent offering Jan Dhan accounts.
Step 2:Fill the Account Opening Form
Complete the PMJDY form with personal details and nominee information.
Step 3:Complete KYC
Submit Aadhaar or another officially valid document for verification.
Step 4:Collect the RuPay Card
Collect the RuPay debit card and use the account regularly to become eligible for the overdraft.
