About the Scheme
Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana is a maternity benefit programme providing a cash incentive of ₹5,000 in instalments to pregnant women and lactating mothers for the first living child, conditional on antenatal registration and immunisation milestones. The transfer partly compensates for wage loss and encourages institutional care during pregnancy. 🚀 How to Apply
Step 1:Register the Pregnancy
Register at the nearest Anganwadi Centre or approved health facility as early in the pregnancy as possible.
Step 2:Submit the Application
Apply through the Anganwadi worker or on the PMMVY portal, attaching the MCP card, Aadhaar and bank details.
Step 3:Complete the Conditions
Complete antenatal check-ups, birth registration and the first immunisation cycle as required for each instalment.
Step 4:Receive the Instalments
Each instalment is credited to the mother’s Aadhaar-linked bank account after the corresponding condition is verified.
