About the Scheme
PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana provides a central financial assistance towards installing a rooftop solar system on a residential building. The subsidy is credited to the consumer’s bank account after the system is installed and inspected by the distribution company, and surplus generation can be exported to the grid under net metering. 🚀 How to Apply
Step 1:Register on the National Portal
Register with the electricity distribution company name and consumer number from a recent bill.
Step 2:Apply and Await Feasibility
Submit the rooftop solar application and wait for feasibility approval from the distribution company.
Step 3:Install Through a Registered Vendor
Get the system installed by a vendor registered on the portal, as subsidy is tied to registered installations.
Step 4:Net Meter and Claim Subsidy
After net meter installation and inspection, submit bank details on the portal to receive the subsidy.
