About the Scheme
Sabooj Sathi distributes bicycles free of cost to students of Classes IX to XII studying in government, government-aided and government-sponsored schools and madrasahs across West Bengal. The scheme is meant to cut travel time and cost for students in rural areas and to reduce dropout, particularly among girls. 🚀 How to Apply
Step 1:Enrol in an Eligible Institution
The student must be in Class IX to XII in a government, government-aided or sponsored school or madrasah.
Step 2:School Prepares the List
The school compiles the list of eligible students and uploads it to the Sabooj Sathi portal.
Step 3:Attend the Distribution Camp
Bicycles are handed over at a camp organised by the school or the block administration.
Step 4:Acknowledge Receipt
Sign the acknowledgement and note the frame number recorded against the student’s name.
