About the Scheme
Sikshashree provides an annual scholarship to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe day scholars studying in Classes V to VIII in government and government-aided schools in West Bengal. š How to Apply
Step 1:Apply Through the School
Collect and submit the Sikshashree application form through the head of the institution.
Step 2:Attach Caste Certificate
Attach the SC or ST caste certificate along with residential proof and the bank passbook copy.
Step 3:School Forwards the List
The school verifies the applications and forwards the consolidated list to the block welfare office.
Step 4:Scholarship Disbursal
The sanctioned amount is credited directly to the student or guardian bank account.
